HACKING BLACK FUTURES OPENING RECEPTION –>

Presented by Black-identified OCAD University students as a feature of the Toronto Design Offsite Festival, Hacking Black Futures directly addresses the erasure of Black people in speculative design while also existing to represent the growing self-authorship and ownership of Black future narratives and practices of making.

Meet us at the historic Revue Cinema for a screening of Anton Wagner’s 1997 film documenting artist, Michael Chambers’ photography expeditions in Canada and Jamaica. An in-person question and answer session with the director will follow the viewing. Additional screenings will be held at BAND for the duration of the exhibition.
